Dr. Yadolah Zarezadeh, Director of International Affairs, in announcing this outstanding achievement, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the entire university community. The rankings, which evaluate universities based on 18 carefully calibrated performance indicators across teaching, research environment, research quality, international outlook, and industry engagement, provide a comprehensive assessment of an institution's global standing. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings is recognized as one of the most comprehensive and influential university rankings worldwide. This year's edition saw a record number of 2,092 universities from 115 countries and territories. Among them, 84 universities from Islamic Republic of Iran were ranked. By achieving a global ranking of 601-800, the university has solidified its status as a leading institution in the region. This accomplishment is particularly noteworthy given the competitive nature of the global higher education landscape.

Oxford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Harvard University claimed the top three spots in the rankings, respectively. Within Iranian universities, Sharif University of Technology, Amirkabir University of Technology, and Iran University of Science and Technology were among the highest-ranked institutions. Dr. Zarezadeh attributed this exceptional achievement to the tireless efforts of the entire university community. He stated that more than 200 international applicants have registered for studying in different majors in the current academic year. The rise in the number of international applicants interested in the University depends upon the University global ranking and internationalization programs of the University.
